Happy cruising to all passengers aboard the Bead Cruise 2009! I was honored when Heather Powers of Humble Beads and the promoter of the Bead Cruise asked ME to be a Bead Sponsor! Being a bead sponsor is a big deal. It means that each bead cruise passenger will receive one of my ceramic pieces in their gift bags! Unfortunately, I will not be cruising but I will be there in spirit because my pendants, charms and buttons will be riding the high seas! Oh, those lucky ceramic pieces! I hope they have lots of beading fun with all those bead cruisers!
I could not turn down an opportunity to be apart of the bead cruise, so I gathered up whatever pieces I could to send off to Heather. That's about 70 pieces! I must say it was hard for me to let go of so many not knowing who would get them or what would become of them! Up until now, I have been able to keep tabs on where and who my pieces are going to for the most part, really. I have had the luxury of seeing beautiful finished jewelry from some talented designers such as Lorelei, Cristi and Sarah. I so love seeing their designs! I do feel attached to the pieces I make, they are a part of me in a way, lol!
While I was packing up pieces for the cruise, I found myself wondering: Is everyone going to like the piece that they get? I wonder if they will do any trading with other passengers? What kind of designs are they going to come up with? I want to see them all! I can just imagine the creativity that will come from this group of talented beaders and designers going on this cruise! I guess I will have to learn to let go if I am going to be a successful art bead-maker.
So, until I get myself adjusted, I ask any of you bead cruisers out there to indulge me a little longer and share your designs with me! Let me know what pieces you get in your gift bag, will you? Oh, pretty please!

I definitely will! I am so excited to hear that you are one of the sponsors!
I will also share whatever projects come about with your goodies! Thanks Erin!
Congratulations Erin! How exciting! Next year you and I will have to join the ladies on the cruise too, lol!
Erin, sometimes I feel the same way about my pieces. I found one of my buttons on a neckwarmer in an Etsy shop. Tickled me pink to see one used. I'm sure all your pieces will be loved!
Ahoy matey! What fun, your beads will be sailing off all over the place. I hope you see some wonderful results.
Thanks you for your support, ladies!
Erin thank you for being a bead cruise sponsor. I can tell you I was very excited to receive one of your leaves in my gift bag. Somewhere down the road it will find it's way in a beadwoven creation.
