Leaf Connector Components!

New leaf connectors in my shop! I'm trying out a new ceramic component. Each leaf has two holes, one on each end. I made them as a test so I just have these three at the moment. I think they would be great in a necklace or as a bracelet focal piece! Let me know what you think of these. You can check them out in my Etsy shop now. I will also have new leaf charms in next week, so check back soon!

Featured Designer: Simply Sarah's

Simply beautiful jewelry designs by Sarah Skeen of Simply Sarah's. I simply love seeing my pieces in others work. These are a few of my favorites she designed incorporating some of my ceramic leaf charms! I can really appreciate Sarah's design sensibility. Her designs are earthy and organic. I love the beads and elements that she uses, like the brass rings in these designs. She also beads in eye-catching pattens, yet her designs have a serene, zen quality to them that I just love! A perfect balance. These pieces are available in her Etsy Shop now. Sarah also does wonderful photography that I like as well. I own her New Life photo.

Check her out in her Etsy shop @ lucksgirl.etsy.com and also on her blog @ wakeupandlive.wordpress.com

Bead Cruise 2009 - I'm A Sponsor!

Happy cruising to all passengers aboard the Bead Cruise 2009! I was honored when Heather Powers of Humble Beads and the promoter of the Bead Cruise asked ME to be a Bead Sponsor! Being a bead sponsor is a big deal. It means that each bead cruise passenger will receive one of my ceramic pieces in their gift bags! Unfortunately, I will not be cruising but I will be there in spirit because my pendants, charms and buttons will be riding the high seas! Oh, those lucky ceramic pieces! I hope they have lots of beading fun with all those bead cruisers!

I could not turn down an opportunity to be apart of the bead cruise, so I gathered up whatever pieces I could to send off to Heather. That's about 70 pieces! I must say it was hard for me to let go of so many not knowing who would get them or what would become of them! Up until now, I have been able to keep tabs on where and who my pieces are going to for the most part, really. I have had the luxury of seeing beautiful finished jewelry from some talented designers such as Lorelei, Cristi and Sarah. I so love seeing their designs! I do feel attached to the pieces I make, they are a part of me in a way, lol!

While I was packing up pieces for the cruise, I found myself wondering: Is everyone going to like the piece that they get? I wonder if they will do any trading with other passengers? What kind of designs are they going to come up with? I want to see them all! I can just imagine the creativity that will come from this group of talented beaders and designers going on this cruise! I guess I will have to learn to let go if I am going to be a successful art bead-maker.

So, until I get myself adjusted, I ask any of you bead cruisers out there to indulge me a little longer and share your designs with me! Let me know what pieces you get in your gift bag, will you? Oh, pretty please!

H I N T: Lemon Lime Etsy Treasury

H I N T: Lemon Lime

Beth of Hint jewelry included one of my leaf pendants in her recent Etsy treasury! And well, the treasury made it to the front page of Etsy yesterday! You can check out the treasury she made at the link above. Unfortunately, I missed it hitting the front page, but I was so excited when I found out! This was my first Etsy Front Page Treasury. A big Thanks, Beth!

Snow

Winter has not yet relinquished it's grip here in the North East. It is pretty when the snow sticks to the tree branches like this.

A Natural Love

The LOVE holiday is upon us! No better time for a heart necklace. I have a natural love for clay and gemstones! I made up this cute little necklace with one of my own porcelain heart pendants, like the ones in my shop here.

Nice and natural mossy green heart with a leaf pattern stamped on it. Accented with delicate wire-wrapped faceted garnets, green kynite and hill tribe silver nugget beads knotted up on cotton cord. I love all the elements in this necklace. Clay, hearts, the color green, gemstones, hill tribe silver, and cotton cord!
What are some of your beading loves?
Leave me your comment love by February 14th and you could win a Mossy Heart Pendant like this one! I will pick a winner on Sunday, February 15th!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!
